Penang is a state in Malaysia located on the Northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The name “Penang” comes from the modern Malay name Pulau Pinang, which means “island of the areca nut palm”.

Georgetown is a Unesco World Heritage site. Most of the buildings are very old. Some of them are desolate and some are filled with businesses.
